The Catholic National Shrine at Walsingham is a self-funded charity and relies on the generosity of the faithful to pay for its operating costs.
A fully operational Shrine serving the faithful as a place of pilgrimage requires the maintenance of numerous buildings, including the Basilica and Slipper Chapel, Tea Room, Shop, Marian Museum and two Pilgrim Accommodation Centres which are fully staffed.

We are immensely grateful for the generosity of all who have offered their prayers, donations, legacies, purchased items in our retail outlets, stayed in our accommodation or supported us in other ways.
In 2022, we ask pilgrims who may not already do so, to consider signing up to make a small monthly offering to the Shrine. We have a small regular donor base and are seeking to grow this to provide financial stability for the future.
