Assisting pilgrims in finding the products they’re looking for in a courteous and friendly way, receiving, unpacking and arranging new stock from suppliers, arranging and labelling goods on the shelves, processing payments at the checkout, providing shopping advice and recommendations. Cleaning and rearranging the stock as required, assist with periodic audits for checking stock, working with other staff to keep the shop area and store area clean and organised at all times
The role demands excellent customer service, telephone, and IT skills. Previous experience in a similar establishment is desirable. GCSEs or equivalent, including English and Maths.
This role may also include occasional working in other areas of the Shrine on busy days, such as in the Tea Room, or as part of the stewarding team.
Hours of employment are up to 35 hours a week and include most weekends, and public holidays.
The role will require a DBS check.
Full-time: – 35 hours a week
Part-time: – minimum of 8 hours a week
