Pentecost Novena

“A Novena to the Holy Spirit from Ascension to Pentecost”

You are invited to join the Shrine Team and many around the country in praying a novena to the Holy Spirit, nine days of focussed prayer, which take us from Ascension to Pentecost.  This year we are following a novena prepared by the Westminster Diocese Vocations Team to help us grow in personal holiness and to pray for a renewal of Christian Vocation in the Church.

It is anticipated that the novena will be prayed during the 3pm afternoon prayers on the Shrine’s 24/7 Livestream on the following schedule:

Day 1 – A New Birth in the Holy Spirit (Friday 22/5/2020)
Day 2 – Fear of the Lord (Saturday 23/5/2020) 
Day 3 – Wisdom (Sunday 24/5/2020)
Day 4 – Understanding (Monday 25/5/2020)
Day 5 – Counsel (Tuesday 26/5/2020)
Day 6 – Fortitude (Wednesday 27/5/2020)
Day 7 – Knowledge (Thursday 28/5/2020)
Day 8 – Piety (Friday 29/5/2020)
Day 9 – The Fruits of the Spirit (Saturday 30/5/2020)
