
Diocese of East Anglia Pilgrimage – online
The Diocese of East Anglia will be celebrating a virtual pilgrimage to Walsingham on Monday May 3, after the usual in-person pilgrimage was cancelled due to Covid-19 restrictions.
Bishop Alan Hopes will be celebrating a 12 noon Mass at the Chapel of Reconciliation and a Rosary and Benediction at 2.30pm.
The Mass will be shown on live stream on the Shrine’s website and YouTube channel and will celebrate the Year of St Joseph and the Family
A smaller social-distanced congregation is able to attend but must book a seat online beforehand:
Make a Reservation for the Diocese of East Anglia PilgrimageIn addition, there will be limited outdoor seating in the Shrine grounds. There is no requirement to book this seating, but once it reaches capacity the grounds will be closed to further visitors.
Because of on-going Covid-19 restrictions, the annual diocesan Children’s Pilgrimage, which was due to take place on June 1, has also been cancelled, as has the Altar Servers Mass and BBQ on Saturday May 8, at St John’s Cathedral, Norwich.

Restrictions
Due to COVID restrictions, indoor seating for the midday Mass will be reserved for Diocese of East Anglia pilgrims only.
Limited outdoor seating for the midday Mass will be available for other visitors; once this is at capacity, entrance to the Shrine grounds will be restricted.
