Catholic National Shrine Of Our Lady Welcomes Annual Salford Pilgrimage To Walsingham

On Saturday 4th May, the annual Salford Diocese pilgrimage to Walsingham, led by Bishop John Arnold, saw around 600 participants gather together with other day pilgrims, for a day of prayer and reflection.

The pilgrimage began at 1.00 pm with the Crowning of the Statue of Our Lady in the Friday Market Place, Walsingham. This was followed by their procession along Pilgrim Way to the Shrine. Upon arrival, there was the opportunity for the Sacrament of Reconciliation.

The pilgrimage culminated with the celebration of Holy Mass at 4.00pm in the Chapel of Reconciliation, led by Bishop John Arnold.
