Catholic National Shrine Of Our Lady Welcomes Annual Southwark Pilgrimage To Walsingham

On Saturday April 27, around 300 participants from the Southwark Diocese undertook the annual pilgrimage to Walsingham, led by the Catholic National Shrine’s former rector, Bishop Philip Moger.

The day began with Adoration, Rosary, and Confessions, followed by the Pilgrim Mass, led by Bishop Philip. After Mass there was the opportunity for lunch and to visit the Slipper Chapel and the gift shop.

Later, the pilgrims processed along the Pilgrim Way to the Abbey Grounds in the Walsingham village. Upon arrival at the Abbey grounds, Bishop Philip led the faithful in prayer and Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament.

The pilgrimage concluded with an opportunity for some free time before the pilgrims departed the village.
