This weekend, we welcomed Rev Richard (Rick) Jones and his family to Walsingham. Until now, he’s been a permanent deacon in the diocese of Nottingham, serving in Grimsby. He has now moved to Walsingham and Bishop Hopes has appointed him to minister at the National Shrine of Our Lady.

Regular pilgrims to Walsingham will, however, recognise Rick from the many times he has organised St Michael’s Security, an invaluable group of stewards who help particularly on large pilgrimage days.
