Government Guidelines

The Shrine is open in line with current government guidelines. This includes a limit on the numbers of cars in the carpark, the numbers of visitors on the site and in the buildings, and on seating for Mass inside the Chapel of Reconciliation. When the site is at capacity, entrance to the Shrine grounds will be restricted. On arrival, please follow the instructions of the Shrine Stewards. Thank you for your understanding and patience!

Parking for Midday Mass

The Shrine carpark will be closed from 11.00 am in preparation for an afternoon event. Visitors arriving at the Shrine for midday Mass will be directed to park on the field opposite the Shrine.

Online Tamil Pilgrimage

Unfortunately, the “in person” Tamil Pilgrimage to Walsingham on Sunday 2nd May 2021 has had to be cancelled owing to COVID-19. There will be an online pilgrimage only which will be livestreamed on the Shrine’s website and Youtube channel. We ask that pilgrims do not come to the Shrine on that day. The Shrine will be closed to pilgrims. We apologise for any disappointment or inconvenience this will cause.

The Diocesan Pilgrimage of East Anglia at the Catholic National Shrine of Our Lady, Walsingham.

Due to COIVID restrictions, indoor seating for the midday Mass will be reserved for Diocese of East Anglia pilgrims only.

Limited outdoor seating for the midday Mass will be available for other visitors; once this is at capacity, entrance to the Shrine grounds will be restricted.
