In the light of the current COVID-19 situation, Mgr John is staying on at the Shrine until the end of August 2020 before relocating to his new appointment in Brentwood Diocese.

There will be a special thanksgiving Mass for Mgr John at midday on Saturday 29^th August led by Bishop Alan Hopes.

Mgr John’s final Mass at the Shrine in his capacity as Rector will be at midday on Sunday 30^th August 2020.

Owing to capacity issues at weekends at the Shrine, we encourage those who can to follow these Masses online through the Shrine’s 24/7 livestream.

Please note:  Mgr Philip Moger, the next Rector of the Shrine, will celebrate his first Mass on Thursday 17th September at noon.  He will be formally inducted as Rector of the Shrine by Bishop Alan Hopes on Thursday 24^th September 2020 at noon, the Feast of Our Lady of Walsingham.
