Prayer of Rededication

The Re-Dedication of England as the Dowry of Mary on Sunday March 29th 2020 is both a personal promise of the people of our country, and a renewal of the entrustment vows made by King Richard II in 1381.

On this day we accept God’s gift of His Mother, the cause of our joy, as she leads us to Christ through her example as the First Disciple, and invites us to “Do whatever He tells you” (John 2:5).

The Rededication will be fulfilled by the praying of the Communal Act of Entrustment prayed in Shrines, Cathedrals, Parishes, Monasteries, Convents and Homes across England.

The pdf of the Official Prayer of Rededication – The Act of Entrustment is attached along with the full Briefing document.

The Act of Entrustment may be prayed towards the end of Sunday Mass in Parishes or at any convenient time during the day. Please ensure everyone has a copy of it. A Plenary Indulgence is granted by the Bishop of East Anglia, for all who make the Re-dedication, subject to the normal conditions.

O Mary O Mother reign o’er us once more
Be England thy Dowry as in days of yore.
Our Lady of Walsingham, pray for us!
