Take advantage of a special arrangement between the Shrine and the Walsingham Estates, whereby pilgrims staying at the Elmham
House or Dowry House may have free access to the Abbey Grounds, the site of the original Holy House of Walsingham. Today nothing remains of this structure,
but the site is marked.
Elmham House, Shrine’s pilgrim hostel, is currently undergoing a major redevelopment, which will massively enhance the resident pilgrim experience.
Elmham House will re-open in March 2019. For further details or to book your stay call 01328 820 217 or email
mailto:reservations@walsingham.org.uk – reservations@walsingham.org.uk..
Dowry House, Shrine’s retreat centre, run by the Community of Our Lady of Walsingham offers an ever growing range of retreats. Residential visitors are
welcome to come on their own or as part of a group. Day groups are also welcome. The retreat continues the legacy left by Sue Ryder and is directly opposite the
main gate of the Abbey Grounds, where the Holy House of Walsingham originally stood. For further details visit
