The power of the Rosary was immediately demonstrated during St. Dominic’s time. On Sunday 29th April at 3pm across the British Isles, the Lay-
faithful gathered in more than 400 locations to bear witness to its power.
This great act of witness to the heavens, bore a sign in the heavens – the British Isles was being lifted in faith through the powerful intercession of the Blessed
Virgin Mary and St Joseph, leading all the Saints and Martyrs, Holy Men and Women of the British Isles. As the lay-faithful picked up their rosaries and formed a
human Rosary chain around the coast the sign bore in heaven was also bore on earth.
Sr. Lucia, one of the children Mary appeared to at Fatima, stated in a 1957 interview…
`The Most Holy Virgin, in these last times in which we live, has given new efficacy in the recitation of the Holy Rosary.
`She has given this efficacy to such an extent that there is no problem, no matter how difficult it is, whether temporal or above all spiritual, in families, of the
families in the world, or of the religious communities, or even of the life of peoples and nations, that cannot be solved by the Rosary.
`There is no problem, I tell you, no matter how difficult it is, that we cannot solve by the prayer of the Holy Rosary. With the Holy Rosary we will save
ourselves. We will sanctify ourselves. We will console Our Lord and obtain the salvation of many souls.`
The event of the Rosary on the Coast united all Catholics: Cardinals, Bishops, Priests, Religious and Laity from Shetland to Jersey. It was a day marked by joy,
renewal, hope and devotion. Pope Francis backed this historic event and bestowed his Apostolic Blessing on all those who took part in the Rosary on the Coast.
