Rosary on The Coast Interview

What is Rosary on the Coast?

A lay-initiative which invites the faithful to come together to pray the glorious mysteries of the Rosary at the same time, asking the Blessed Virgin Mary for her
intercession for the British Isles, for a renewal of faith.

Why is the rosary important?

The Rosary was the gift made manifest through the Angel Gabriel and Elizabeth to Mary through their greetings `Hail Mary, full of Grace. Most blessed are you
among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb` and given by way as a teaching to the faithful of the Gospel of Life which is Jesus Christ to St Dominic. Let
us ask for their intercession as we turn to Our Blessed Mother Mary for the way ahead – that which is the way of the cross, the only path which leads to life –
to love.

Why is it important?

The British Isles with its significant heritage of the ancient catholic faith is no longer seen to be Christian. Around 9 million abortions have taken place in the UK over
the past 50 years. Ireland has been the part of the British Isles which has always led the way in protecting the unborn baby. It currently faces the possibility that
that will not last much longer.

What spiritual preparation has been taking place?

Beginning of the Solemnity of St Joseph, 40 days of spiritual preparation began and will conclude on the 27th April 2018 which is the 50th Anniversary of the 1967
Abortion Act coming into common law.

Who is involved?

Pope Francis has endorsed this initiative and given a papal blessing.

When is it taking place?

Sunday 29th April 2018 at 3pm
