Symposium on St Joseph in Walsingham

We invite you to walk the royal road to sanctity with St Joseph. This symposium on St Joseph is the first of its kind in the UK and is open
to all whether you want to come for one talk or the whole programme. It is a partnership with the National Shrine of St Joseph which we have had in the UK for
over a century and which is now based at St Michael`s Abbey, Farnborough.

This is a unique opportunity to celebrate the life of this great saint in preparation for his feast day on 19th March. A wide range of speakers will offer twice
daily reflections based on Josephology and the history of St Joseph in England, whilst allowing time for daily participation in the sacramental programme at the
Basilica.

England was a centre of devotion to St Joseph so much so that Cardinal Vaughan (3rd Archbishop of Westminster and founder of the Cathedral) as an
apostle of St Joseph petitioned the Pope to bring forth the title of St Joseph, Patron Saint of the Universal Church. This symposium offers the opportunity to grow
our understanding of St Joseph’s role as `father of the new evangelisation`.
