On another fine day, the National Shrine welcomed several Syro Malabar rite pilgrims. We assembled again in the village and it was good again to
see so many young people. The procession then wound its way along the Pilgrims` Way several pilgrims carrying the traditional brightly coloured parasols. By
chance there were a large number of walkers on a charity walk coming up the Pilgrims` Way and they were fascinated to learn of the history and faith of the
pilgrims, several who originate from Kerala, India. After a wonderful lunch in the shrine grounds Father Sajimon Kuriakose celebrated Mass.
Over the weekend I have spoken to pilgrims currently living in Oman, Singapore and Qatar who while staying in England have made it their priority to come to
Walsingham. It is very inspiring to meet and talk to the pilgrims.
