Over 200 members of the Daman Community of Peterborough were also at the midday Mass. Daman was a Portuguese colony in India from
1559-1961 and many Portuguese speaking Indians are now a vibrant force in the catholic community in England. Mgr John Armitage welcomed them as they
started their procession to the Shrine.
