The pilgrimage was well attended by the the religious communities of the Brentwood Diocese. This year the pilgrimage was led by their new bishop, Bishop Alan
Williams SM, formerly the rector of the national Shrine. The numbers of pilgrims was greatly increased in support of Bishop Alan and also the new rector, Mgr John
Armitage, formerly vicar general of the Diocese of Brentwood!
