The new parish Church of the Annunciation in Walsingham is now paid for! Exactly four years on from the day of the Appeal's Launch we received word that sufficient funds had been received to pay all the remaining bills on the New Church. Costing just over £1million, the church has won many awards for design and conservation. The solar panels are working to provide electricity to power the building including the pumps for the ground probe water heating/cooling system, another system to help reduce the carbon footprint of the building works and the church itself. The R C Shrine would like to thank the many contributors, fundraisers and helpers for the fantastic efforts made in raising this phenomenal sum of money for the new Church which in addition to being the R C Parish Church in Walsingham is also used by pilgrims to the Shrine. A booklet with beautiful photographs of the building and explanations of some of the details in the Church is now available from the Bureau priced £1 plus 50p postage and packing.
