… still busy ..!!

On Monday 4th June Bishop Mark Davies will be joining the National Association of Catholic Families and will be the Principal Celebrant at the 12 noon Mass at the Shrine.

Tuesday 5th June. We will be hosting the 27th Annual East Anglian Diocesan Children’s Pilgrimage. After discussions they decided to stick to their normal day despite the Jubilee Celebrations; when they did the same, 10 years ago, they were pleased to see many parents attend, who because of work commitments could not normally join the children and it is hoped this will happen again this year.  They will start with a Procession from outside the Church of the Annunciation in Friday Market Place at 10.45 am and they will be in charge of the liturgy at the 12 noon Shrine Mass – theirs is always a fun filled Mass.  After Mass they have a picnic and then go to the beach, so are hoping for a fine day, although their spirits don’t seem to dampen with rain!

Later on in the week we will be having Forty Hours Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament in preparation for the 50th International Eucharistic Congress in Dublin.  Beginning on Thursday 7th June at the 12 noon Mass there will be times of Adoration, Evening Prayer, an All Night Vigil on the Friday night and further Masses, Processions and services taking place on Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th.

Full details of the timetables for all these events can be found on our Weekly Programme which can be downloaded from the page of the same name on the website (under Shrine).
