Over two hundred Sisters of Mercy and their Associates from London, Oldham, Croydon, Colchester, St Albans, Birmingham, Kings Lynn, Newcastle-under-Lyme, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Oldham, Tilbury and Llanelli South Wales, made long journeys to be part of a Pilgrimage to the National Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham on Saturday 13th June. Brentwood Diocese Pilgrimage - Religious Communities

The pilgrimage was well attended by the the religious communities of the Brentwood Diocese. This year the pilgrimage was led by their new bishop, Bishop Alan Williams SM, formerly the rector of the national Shrine. The numbers of pilgrims was greatly increased in support of Bishop Alan and also the new rector, Mgr John Armitage, formerly vicar general of the Diocese of Brentwood!
